Lövsta Future Challenge

Swedish victory in the team competition

The Swedish U25 team did a nice follow up of the senior team’s silver medal last night and won the team competition in Lövsta Future Challenge International Jumping. Karin Martinsen/Quantos and Irma Karlsson/Ida vd Bisschop did two super rounds each and beat the European team.

Nine teams started in the first round of the team competition and the six best teams went on to round number two. Karin Martinsen and Quantos started first of the Swedish riders and had no faults and a pretty good time as well. The European team with swiss rider Emilie Stampfli and Portuguese rider Rodrigo Guiesteira Almeida was the biggest threat to the Swedes but Irma Karlsson had a calmer Ida vd Bisschop today and looked super concentrated. They were clear and fast in the second round, securing the victory for Sweden.

Swedish chef d’equipe Henrik Ankarcrona was very pleased with the team and he sees a bright future ahead for Swedish showjumping.
